Welcome and thank you
for visiting the website for the Adams Green Transportation
Improvement Project.
This project will result in a final roadway and
streetscape design to support the new Adams Green Park. This design
will be constructed by MassDOT and will ensure that traffic works
allowing Adams Green to achieve its full potential as a new, green,
bicycle and pedestrian friendly, transit-accessible focal point for
downtown.
The project team invites
you to browse the site, learn more about the project, peruse the
materials developed to support the public involvement process, and
contact the project's public involvement
specialist with your questions or comments.
Winter, 2012 - Where are we now?
-
On 12/18/12, the 100% design package was submitted to
MassDOT and the City of Quincy. An abridged
100% design package is available on this website. The
MassDOT review is expected to take approximately six weeks.
-
Once the review is complete, the design team will begin
the Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) drawings. The
creation of PS&E drawings is one of the final steps prior to
bidding the job.
- Assuming work continues at the current pace,
the job should be bid in early 2013 with construction beginning in the
spring.
